After being cooled down to -196C using Liquid Nitrogen and a solid copper heat sink the system is booted for the first time.

At over 5GHz the system pulls 220 watts

After booting over 5GHz the overclocked AMD X4 system consumes 220 watts from the wall

Several hours of overclocking and benchmarking with liquid nitrogen has caused a lot of ice to accumulate on the computer system

After hours of Overclocking with Liquid nitrogen I begins to adorn the computer

Ice is not a danger to electrical components but when it melts liquid water can fatally damage the system.

at -190c and 1.88 volts the CPU is capable of all four cores running 5850MHz

With the CPU Core at 1.88 Volts and the Core Temperature at -189.9c The AMD Phenom X4 hits 5.85GHz

V2-V3 AMD World Records Phenom II X4 940 on LN2
Feb 08, 2009 - 4:38 PM - by V2-V3
* More details at Welcome to the home of extreme Overclocking! *

Today I decided to load up the new AMD Phenom II 940 With LN2 and
To my surprise the chip held steady at 5.4GHz through any benchmark i could throw at it!

(first time AMD LN2 Bench)

I didnt have a Vmod on the Motherboard and was limited to 1.69v idle and 1.625v load
The motherboard was a HUGE limiting factor, The bios maxed the multiplier at 20x and the FSB was unstable beyond 270MHz

also, AMD Overdrive utility (which allows higher multipliers) does not work in server 2008....

All that kinda put me in a pinch....

Motherboard: ASUS M3A79T-Deluxe
CPU: AMD Phenom II 940
GPU: CrossFire X 4870X2
RAM: Patriot PDC22G6400LLK
PSU: Tagan BZ-1300W

CPU Temperature: -190c
CPU Voltage: 1.69v
Memory Temperature: -5c
Memory Voltage: 2.0v

LN2 Evaporator POT: NexGen Rev 5 Semisolid Copper

3 Word Records Broken!
1 3rd Place Record
1 6th Place Record

Need more LN2 and Vcore and I believe this chip can do a lot more!
